Intensive Outpatient Program

At Peninsula Addiction Services, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is structured to provide every individual with both support from skilled professionals and the ability to engage in normal, day-to-day life.

IOP is often the best choice for people who have daily work and/or family commitments that cannot be fulfilled at an in-patient facility.

If residential treatment is recommended at the time of assessment, our clinic has resources available to provide necessary referrals.

What to Expect in IOP

  • Minimum commitment of 9 hours per week
  • Individual sessions with counselor once a week
  • Group sessions 3-4 times a week
    • Specialty programs include Men and Women’s groups
  • Family sessions
  • Peer counseling
  • Offered 5 days a week
  • Day and evening programs available

Continuum of Care

After completion of our out-patient programs, we continue to care for and support our patients.

Licensed counselors participate in aftercare sessions with individuals and families on a regular basis for one year after completion of treatment.

We strongly encourage patients to continue their Twelve-Step participation regularly.
